I've been an IT professional for 24 years and a freelance Project and Prgramme Manager for 16 years. I've worked across many industry sectors including Finance, Health care, Local Government, Central Government, Defence, Manufacturing, Policing and Corporate Outsourcing / Strategic Partnerships.
I currently focus mainly on Infrastructure Programmes / Projects or mixed Infrastructure / Applications projects.
I'm a keen sportsman, former British Parachute Association Instructor, former NSRA rifle and pistol coach and former triathlete. I coach Freefly skydiving in English, Spanish and (occasionally) French and hope to begin coaching in German next year. I also hope to begin presenting canopy handling courses in German and English next year. I'm a freefall cameraman (video and stills) and enjoy photography on the ground as well as in the air though I don't do weddings any more. I climb, practice archery and am a qualified scuba diver and wind surfer.
I'm (slowly) approaching the end of an Open University Modern Language Studies degree (German and Spanish) with my final German module ending next year. I've already started a BSc in Psychology to keep me busy when my BA ends and am planning to do the Post-grad certificates in translation as soon as I have time to draw breath. |
