I am a freelance translator, from the Netherlands Antilles. I have translated different types of documents in the past twenty five years, and have concentrated on family documents, social/cultural analysis, macroeconomic reports, promotional and training manuals. I have lately also been doing a lot of primary education documents. My languages include English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamentu. Papiamentu is my native language, whereas I learned English from age 4, Dutch and Spanish from age six. I have been using all these languages actively since then in a series of multilingual settings.

For several years I co-translated the Economic Outlook, the annual review and prognosis report of the Department of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands Antilles. I also have translated conference and workshop papers in the area of social/cultural analysis.

For proofreading, Editing, Translating and interpreting my rates range from $0.10 to $0.15 per word, depending on type of work I need to do, technical difficulty, deadline and volume. I also offer research support by doing research in archives, research libraries and other locations. Support in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, USA costs $30/hour plus expenses. Price for other locations will be based on mutual agreement.
