“PMO Movie”, unlike Best Actress or Best Screenplay, is not a category that people wait for with anticipation on Oscars Night. I don't watch the event so I can't be sure, and in fact the category does not even exist, which makes it hard to win it. Have you ever heard the old wise saying: “to a fool with a hammer everything is a nail”? It's a private foolishness but I do think that PMO movies exist; they are just disguised so as to not frighten the horses.
What makes a PMO movie? There needs to be a group, just off the limelight, but who are vital to the outcome of whatever quest/adventure/journey the story is about. Others will be the heroes and heroines, but these people will know what works and what doesn't. These people will set it up so that the “heroes” can strut their stuff.

L’Oscar du « film PMO », à la différence de celui de la meilleure actrice ou du meilleur scénario, n’est pas une catégorie que les gens attendent avec impatience la Nuit des Oscars. Je ne regarde pas l’émission, donc je ne peux pas en être sûr, et en fait la catégorie n'existe même pas, ce qui le rend difficile à gagner. Avez-vous déjà entendu le vieux dicton de sagesse populaire : « Pour un fou avec un marteau, tout ce qu’il rencontre est un clou » ? C'est sûrement une bêtise de ma part, mais je pense que les films PMO existent vraiment; ils sont juste déguisés afin de ne pas effrayer les chevaux.
Qu’est-ce qu’il y a dans un film PMO ? Il doit y avoir un groupe, juste à côté des feux de la rampe, mais qui est essentiel pour le résultat de peu importe quelle quête / aventure / voyage dont traite le scénario. D'autres personnages seront les héros et les héroïnes, et ces gens sauront ce qui fonctionne et ce qui ne fonctionne pas. Le groupe sera mis en place pour que les «héros» puissent se pavaner.

Entre le moment où l’on diagnostique un cancer à un patient et le moment où ce même patient se voit annoncer qu’il est en rémission, la vie de ce patient a entièrement basculé, sa vision du monde et de la vie sont entièrement différentes, ses valeurs ont changé, ses priorités ont changé et ceux qui l’entourent ne le comprennent plus la plupart du temps – notamment parce qu’ils s’attendent à ce que ce patient redevienne la même personne qu’avant, mais il ne peut pas redevenir la même personne, elle n’est plus la même personne, c’est expérience de la vie est transformatrice jusqu’au plus profond son âme.
Ce patient à laissé la rive de la rivière au bord de laquelle il vivait, était heureux et avait sa vision du monde, pour être jeté violemment à l’eau à l’annonce du cancer ; à partir de cet instant là il a traversé des épreuves terribles dans cette rivière de l’inconnu, semée de menaces dont l’issue semblait inexorable, il savait qu’il ne pouvait plus revenir en arrière, que rien ne serait plus comme avant mais il ne savait pas s’il atteindrait l’autre rive et à ce moment-là, il savait encore moins ce qu’il deviendrait. Des moments de doute, repassant sa vie en revue, faisant le point sur lui-même.

Compréhension du sujet
L'un de nous est en charge de votre dossier et sera votre seul interlocuteur pendant la durée du projet.
Le Chargé de Projet met en place un atelier avec vous pour comprendre vos besoins spécifiques :
- Nombre de mots ;
- Traduction institutionnelle ou opérationnelle ;
- Format de livraison ;
- Délais et contraintes ;
Toutes les informations pertinentes au sujet de votre entreprise et de son domaine d'activité.
Suite à cet atelier, il analyse en détail votre besoin, le domaine et le niveau de difficulté du texte et il vous envoie une proposition commerciale qui tient compte de ces critères.
Estimation
L'estimation de votre projet indique la date limite pour la finalisation de la prestation, le support final et les tâches nécessaires à effectuer (relecture, validation du support final, etc.).
Il valide avec vous au téléphone la bonne compréhension de l'estimation de votre part.
Production
Après avoir obtenu votre accord, il vous envoie un contrat et, à la signature du contrat, le projet peut commencer.
Il recueille la terminologie, un glossaire, des mémoires de traduction ou des documents déjà traduits dans votre entreprise pour assurer la rédaction et la cohérence terminologique de votre document.
Il veille à ce que votre document ne contient pas de textes tronqués ou incomplets.
Il vous envoie les questions ou demandes de précisions qu'il peut avoir pour vous assurer la meilleure qualité dans le temps imparti.
Il révise et finalise la traduction, vous l'envoie.
Validation
Une fois réalisé et envoyé, il convient d'un appel téléphonique avec vous pour s'assurer de votre entière satisfaction avec son travail. Il tient compte de vos opinions et de vos souhaits et apporte les modifications nécessaires, puis il vous retourne le document dans les plus brefs délais.
Dans le cas d'un texte supplémentaire à traduire, il vous envoie une nouvelle estimation.
