After originally specialising in industrial and environment engineering (mineral processing, mining, air-conditioning, recycling, waste and wastewater, etc.), the demise of my main client led to a change in orientation.

Much of my work is now related to sport, especially football, and tourism.

In the area of sport my main clients are FC Schalke 04 and the VELTINS Arena, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE), allsport and Stadtmarketing Gelsenkirchen (2006 FIFA World Cup website)

I also work for FIFA in a variety of areas (FIFA Magazine, Activity Report, Legal, Dispute Resolution and Disciplinary). In 2006 I had the pleasure of translating the official Technical Report for the World Cup.

Before going solo I worked as an estate management translator and interpreter for the Ministry of Defence, having graduated from Sheffield Polytechnic with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages (German and French) and Political Studies in 1985.
