East Hampton's Main Beach consistently ranks as one of America's Top Ten beaches as ranked by "Dr. Beach" Stephen B. Leatherman.
Parking access to the Atlantic Ocean beaches within the incorporated village of East Hampton is severely restricted from May 1 to September 30. In 2006 there were only 2,600 permits available for non-residents with a charge of $250. Residents can always get parking permits.
East Hampton's beaches are considered very desirable because of their clean white sands, the fact they are relatively accessible, and connected to the mainland (rather than being on a barrier island) and because there is a minimum of development adjoining the beach.
None of the village beaches have an abundance of parking and this limits the crowd size. There is no restriction preventing people from arriving at the beaches via bike, foot or being dropped off. Severe restrictions on neighborhood streets surrounding the beaches prohibit parking.
The beaches of East Hampton village (from west to east):
Georgica - This beach adjoining Georgica Pond is popular with surfers because of currents arounds its controversial groynes. The beach has bathroom facilities.
Main Beach - The beach is the only one with a pavilion where you can get food and also has a limited number of lockers available to residents.
Wiborg Beach - Has a parking lot, and is right next to Maidstone Club. It does not have a lifeguard. In the summer of 2006 it played host to the "hot" surf spot to be at.
Egypt Lane Beach - This beach is sometimes called Maidstone Beach because of its close proximity to the headquarters of the Maidstone Golf Club. However this is inaccurate since there is a Maidstone Beach on the bay in an unincorporated area of East Hampton.
Main, Wiborg and Egypt Lane are immediately next to the Maidstone Golf Club course.
Two Mile Hollow - This beach has the second largest parking lot of the village beaches.
In addition to the village beaches, in the Town of East Hampton there are Atlantic beaches in the nearby unincorporated hamlets of Wainscott, Amagansett, Napeauge and Montauk.
The Town also has an assortment of beaches on the Great Peconic Bay on the north side of the South Fork.

Main Beach - Dieser Strand ist der einzige mit einem Kiosk, an dem man etwas zu essen kaufen kann, und bietet auch eine beschränkte Anzahl an Schließfächern für die Anwohner.
Wiborg Beach - Hat einen Parkplatz und befindet sich gleich neben dem Maidstone Club. Es gibt hier keine Rettungsschwimmer. Im Sommer 2006 war dies der angesagteste Platz zum Surfen.
Egypt Lane Beach - Dieser Strand wird aufgrund seiner großen Nähe zur Zentrale des Maidstone Golf Clubs manchmal auch Maidstone Beach genannt. Dies ist jedoch nicht ganz richtig, da es an der Bucht in einem nicht eingemeindeten Teil von East Hampton einen Maidstone Beach gibt.
Main, Wiborg und Egypt Lane befinden sich direkt neben dem Golfplatz des Maidstone Golf Club.

Notes to the Financial Statements are additional notes and information added to the end of the financial statements to supplement the reader with more information.
Notes to Financial Statements help explain the computation of specific items in the financial statements as well as provide a more comprehensive assessment of a company's financial condition.
Notes to Financial Statements can include information on debt, going concern, accounts, contingent liabilities, or contextual information explaining the financial numbers (e.g. to indicate a lawsuit).
The information contained within the notes not only supplement financial statement information, but they clarify line-items that are part of the financial statements. For example, if a company lists a loss on a fixed asset impairment in their income statement, Notes to Financial Statements could serve to corroborate the reason for the impairment by providing specific information relative to how the asset became impaired.
Notes to the Financial Statements are also used to explain the method of accounting used to prepare the financial statements (all publicly traded companies are required to use accrual basis accounting for financial reporting purposes as mandated by the SEC), and they provide valuations for how particular accounts have been represented.
In consolidated financial statements, all subsidiaries should be listed as well as the amount of ownership (controlling interest) that the parent company has in the subsidiary companies.
Any items within the financial statements that are valuated by estimation should be part of the Notes to Financial Statements if a substantial difference exists between the amount of the estimate previously reported and the amount of the actual results.
