One year post-graduate research in Theoretical Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich using the English language.
One year post-graduate research at the Sektion Physik (Nuclear Physics Department) of the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich in a German-speaking team.
Fluent and confident in both English and German.
Since July 2005 I work as technical translator, and since June 2006 also as proofreader.


With an university degree in Physics, specialized in Fundamental Physics, and fluency in German and English, my professional goal is to use this knowledge altogether: translating scientific texts.
I am very careful with language, never delivered a job with delay (and many times I delivered in advance), but what I consider to be the most important aspect: I am a scientist, so I will never let any error slip in my translations.

Unfortunately, I find very often slight and not so slight mistakes in scientific translations. I want to contribute to the end of that phenomenon. I am a serious translator and already after only three months of experience, I got a lot of positive feedback from my client (an agency). After only eleven months working as translator, always for the same agency, they were satisfied enough with my job to promote me to a position as proofreader.

Now I have one year and a half experience in Industrial Engineering (automatization) and I am looking forward to translate medical equipment for Nuclear Medicine (my priority) and, in general, any kind of scientific text.

I am always ready to make free translations for humanitary organizations.

Soy licenciada en Física y mi idioma materno es el español (España).
He estudiado mi carrera durante cinco años, y he trabajado otros dos en la Universidad, basándome siempre en textos en inglés. Mi gran ambición, desde que era estudiante, es traducir al español los diversos manuales de Física que tienen que usar los estudiantes a partir del tercer curso de carrera, y que por ser demasiado especializados sólo existen en inglés.
Para mí es un placer trabajar combinando dos de mis grandes pasiones: la ciencia y los idiomas.
Soy una aficionada a la Medicina y ahora mismo los textos de Medicina Nuclear son mi prioridad, y me gustaría especializarme en este campo.
También me dedico traducir cualquier tipo de textos científicos y técnicos, pues esto me permite seguir aprendiendo tanto ciencia como idiomas.
Mi formación científica y mi rigurosidad me permiten hacer traducciones y correcciones muy satisfactorias no sólo en la forma, sino también en el fondo, detectando posibles fallos conceptuales.

Desde julio de 2005 trabajo como traductora técnica de inglés y alemán. Desde junio de 2006 también trabajo como revisora de estas traducciones. También aprendo japonés para poder añadirlo en el futuro a mis lenguas de trabajo.

Estoy dispuesta en todo momento a hacer traducciones sin coste alguno para organizaciones humanitarias.
