There was a time I suffered so much I wanted to get it out of me. I would cut my arms (I would hurt my soul), not to kill myself. I don’t want to die. I know I am lucky to be on this earth. I did it so the physical pain would calm the pain that was eating me inside. Nothing was erased. I leave with my past tucked away deep inside of me. It comes out as an explosion and…It invades me. I believe We are messengers on Earth. I believe in angels. I am blessed to tell myself I suffered that much to become who I am today. There are certain sufferings which can only be forgotten once we have succeeded in floating above our own pain, and We all fall to the floor at some point. It’s how you pick yourself up. That’s the real challenge, isn’t it?. I’ve learned that there’s light even in the darkest places. You can't find peace by avoiding life, so I’ve decided to look life in the face, always to look life in the face, and to know it for what it is, at last, to know it, to love it for what it is, because what lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us. | Translation - Arabic
لقد مر بي وقت كنت أعاني فيه لدرجة أني أردت الخروج مني. ربما أجرح ذراعي (ربما أؤذي نفسي)، لكن لا أقتل نفسي. أنا لا أريد أن أموت. أنا أعلم أني محظوظ لكوني على هذه الأرض. إنما فعلت ذلك لكي يهديء الألم الحسي من الألم الذي يأكلني من الداخل. لم يمح شيء. أنا أمضي ومعي ماضيَّ مطوي في أعماقي. إنه يخرج كانفجار و.... يجتاحني. أنا أعتقد أننا حاملوا رسالة في هذا العالم. أنا أؤمن بالملائكة. أنا محظوظ لأحدث نفسي كم عانيت حتى أصبح من أنا اليوم. هناك أنواع من المعاناة لا يمكن أن تنسى إلا عندما ننجح في أن نعلو على آلامنا ثم نسقط جميعاً على الأرض عند نقطة معينة. إنها الطريقة التي تتدارك بها نفسك من السقوط. إنه التحدي الحقيقي. أليس كذلك؟ لقد تعلمت أن هناك ضوءاً حتى في أكثر الأماكن ظلمة. لا يمكنك أن تحصل على الأمان بإلغاء الحياة، لذلك قررت أن أواجه الحياة وجهاً لوجه، وأن أعرفها على حقيقتها، أخيراً، أن أعرفها، وأحبها على ما هي عليه، لأن الأمور التي فاتتنا والأمور التي لا زالت ستواجهنا كلها ضئيلة بالمقارنة بما يكمن بداخلنا. |
