Het PRODUCT-disPlay geeft je verbruik in WATT weer
omdat WATT de wereldwijde standaardeenheid is
voor vermogen en, indien vermenigvuldigd met
tijdsduur, voor energieverbruik.
Gebruik van deze standaardeenheid maakt
communicatie over energie mogelijk.

Voor een succesvolle installatie volg je de hierna
beschreven stappen. Het definitief plaatsen van
het display en het netjes geleiden van het snoer
vormen de laatste stap.
1. START: Batterijen of adapter
De PRODUCT werkt op batterijen of met een adapter.
Aan de achterkant van het display zit het
batterijklepje. Druk de clips aan de bovenkant
naar beneden om het klepje te openen.
De PRODUCT heeft twee adapter ingangen; één aan
de zijkant van het display en één aan de zijkant
van de sensor. Heb je een stopcontact in de
meterkast, gebruik dan bij voorkeur de ingang
van de sensor.
2. Instellen digitaal of analoog (knop A)
Een elektriciteitsmeter met een draaischijf
noemen we analoog en met een knipperend
(infrarood) lampje digitaal.
Draai het display om en je ziet aan de achterkant
2 knoppen. Neem de hulpknop of een ballpoint,
steek deze in het linker gat (waar de letter A
naast staat) en stel de PRODUCT in op "digital" of
"analogue". De instelling wordt bevestigd op het
display.
3. Instellen meterconstante (knop B)
Op je elektriciteitsmeter staat aangegeven wat
de meterconstante is, herkenbaar aan de
volgende aanduidingen: R/kWh, Imp/kWh,
omw/kWh, a=.... of c=.... Steek de hulpknop of
een ballpoint in het rechter gat (knop B) en draai
de PRODUCT om zodat je het display kan zien. Druk
de knop in en de waarde begint op te lopen. Vlak
voor de gewenste meterconstante laat je de
knop los en druk je stapsgewijs tot je het juiste
getal bereikt hebt. Na 9999 begint hij weer op 0.
Voor 10.000 imp/kWh stel je de PRODUCT in op 0.
Als je de knop loslaat is de instelwaarde niet
meer zichtbaar, dit is normaal.
4. Bevestig vizier
Op de achterkant van het vizier zit een sticker.
Verwijder de beschermlaag en plak het vizier
recht voor de draaischijf (of het knipperende
lampje) zoals aangegeven staat op de
afbeelding. 'Ondersteboven' bevestigen mag
overigens ook.
5. Sensor plaatsen
Kies het juiste gat (analoog of digitaal) en draai
de schroef aan.
Het vizier en de sensor zijn speciaal zo gemaakt
dat de sensor met behulp van de schroef
eventueel (bij volgende stap) nog iets versteld
kan worden. In de verpakking vind je overigens
reserve stickers voor het geval dat het vizier na
verwijdering opnieuw geplakt moet worden.
Sluit na de bevestiging van de sensor de meterkast zodat de sensor niet verstoord wordt door
omgevingslicht.
6. Vind het signal
Zodra het display het verbruik weergeeft, werkt
de PRODUCT. Je kunt controleren of je PRODUCT goed
werkt door bijvoorbeeld een lamp van 60 watt aan
of uit te doen.
Als er weinig elektriciteit wordt verbruikt duurt
het langer voordat de draaischijf een volledige
ronde heeft gemaakt. Het vinden van het signaal
is makkelijker wanneer er apparaten aanstaan die
wat meer elektriciteit verbruiken zoals een
stofzuiger, koffiezetapparaat of waterkoker.
Bij analoge meters met een dunne draaischijf moet je soms de sensor iets verschuiven zodat hij precies op de hoogte van en in lijn met de draaischijf zit. Sluit na het rechtzetten van de sensor de meterkast.
Lukt het niet om het signaal op te pikken of twijfel je aan de juiste werking van de PRODUCT, raadpleeg dan de uitgebreide handleiding.
7. FINISH: Plaats het display
De beste plek voor het display is waar je 'm
regelmatig ziet, bijvoorbeeld op de buitenkant
van de deur of op de muur naast de meterkast.
Bevestiging kan met klittenband of een schroefje.
Voor het snoer zijn kabelclips en plaktape
bijgeleverd.
De installatie is klaar. De PRODUCT geeft aan hoeveel
elektriciteit je NU verbruikt. Bij laag verbruik
duurt het even voordat de PRODUCT reageert op een
verandering in het verbruik.
Wat te doen als je PRODUCT niet goed functioneert?
Controleer de volgende punten:
- Zijn de batterijen niet (bijna) leeg of is de
adapter wel aangesloten?
- Komt de instelling ANALOOG of DIGITAAL overeen
met de elektriciteitsmeter?
- Zit het vizier met de sensor wel recht en vlak
op het glas van de elektriciteitsmeter?
- Zit de schroef van de sensor in het juiste gat?
- Wordt de sensor duidelijk verstoord door
omgevingslicht? Plaats dan de verduisterdoek
over de sensor.
Fijnafstelling
De sensor van de PRODUCT is standaard zodanig
afgesteld dat hij in de meeste situaties zonder
nadere afstelling goed functioneert.
Als dat echter niet zo is, dan zal fijnafstelling van de
sensor uitkomst bieden.

For a successful installation, follow the procedure
described here. The definitive placement of the
display and the neat securing of the cord are the
final step.
1. START: Batteries or adapter
The PRODUCT works on batteries or with an adapter.
The battery cover is located at the back of the display.
Press the clips on the top downwards to open the lid.
The PRODUCT has two adapter inputs: one on the
side of the display and one on the side of the
sensor. If you have an electrical outlet in the
meter cupboard, then it is preferable to use the
sensor input.
2. Set digital or analogue (button A)
An electricity meter with a rotary disc is an analogue
meter whilst one with a flashing (infra-red) light
is a digital meter.
Turn over the PRODUCT display and you will see two buttons
on the back. Take the loose auxiliary button or a
ballpoint pen, stick it into the leftmost hole (next
to the letter A) and set the PRODUCT to “digital” or
“analogue”. The setting will be confirmed on the display.
3. Set meter constant (button B)
The meter constant which can be found on your
electricity meter is given by one of the following
terms: R/kWh, Imp/kWh, omw/kWh, a=...
or c=… Stick the loose auxiliary button or a
ballpoint pen into the hole on the right (button B) and turn
the PRODUCT around so that you can see the display.
Push the button and watch the value going up.
Just before reaching the desired meter constant,
release the button and press stepwise until you reach the
correct number. After 9999 the display returns to 0.
For 10,000 imp/kWh, set the PRODUCT to 0. When you
release the button you can no longer see the value
which has been set. This is normal.
4. Affix the visor
On the back of the visor there is a sticker.
Remove the protective layer and stick the
visor right in front of the rotary disc (or the flashing
light) as shown in the illustration. You can
also attach it ‘upside-down’.
5. Sensor placement
Choose the correct hole (analogue or digital) and tighten
the screw. The visor and the sensor are so designed as to allow
the sensor to be adjusted slightly (as in the following step)
by means of the screw. You will find spare stickers
in the package in case the visor needs to be
stuck on again after it has been taken off.
After securing the sensor, shut the meter cupboard so that the sensor is not disturbed by ambient light.
6. Find the signal
As soon as the display indicates the usage, the PRODUCT is
working. You can check whether the PRODUCT is
working properly, for example by switching a 60 watt
light bulb on and off.
If little electricity is being used, it will take longer before
the rotary disc has made a complete revolution. It is easier to
find the signal when appliances which use more electricity,
such as a vacuum cleaner, coffee maker or electric kettle
are switched on.
In the case of analogue meters with a thin rotary disc, it is sometimes necessary to move the sensor about so that it is precisely at the level of, and in line with, the rotary disc. After straightening the sensor, close the meter cupboard.
If this fails to pick up the signal successfully or if in doubt whether the PRODUCT is working correctly, consult the extended users’ guide.
7. FINISH: Position the display
The best spot for the display is where it can be regularly
seen, for example on the outside of the door or
on the wall near the meter cupboard.
Fastening can be done with Velcro or with a screw.
Cable clips and sticky tape are included for the cord.
The installation is finished. The PRODUCT displays how much
electricity you are NOW using. If usage is low, it will take a
while before the PRODUCT reacts to a change in the usage.
What should you do if your PRODUCT isn’t working properly?
Check the following points:
- Are the batteries not (almost) flat or is the
adapter actually connected?
- Is the setting for ANALOGUE or DIGITAL in accord
with the electricity meter?
- Is the visor with the sensor positioned straight,
and directly on the glass of the electricity meter?
- Is the screw of the sensor in the correct hole?
- Is the sensor clearly being disturbed by ambient
light? If so, place the shielding cloth over
the sensor
Fine tuning
The default factory setting of PRODUCT sensor is such
that in most situations it will function properly without
further adjustment.
However, if that is not the case, then fine tuning of
the sensor will offer a solution.

The annual cost in euros is equal to 2 x the

This applies if you were to use the average number of WATTs
displayed for a full year at a kWh-tariff of 22.8 eurocents,

לפני שאסקור את נושא הלידה ומה שקשור להתנהלות בחדר הלידה והטיפול בכאבים, אפרט מספר דברים: הלידה אצל בני האדם היא הקשה ביותר מבין כל היונקים. הסיבות לכך הן שתיים:
א. מהרגע שהאדם החליט ללכת על שתיים, הצטמצמו קוטר והיקף האגן שלו.
ב. האדם החליט להיות חכם ולדבר, ומאז גודל המוח והיקף הגולגולת שלו גדלו.
היחס בין גודל האגן וגודל הראש הוא בדרך כלל גבולי, ומכאן הקושי. אצל כל שאר היונקים היקף הגולגולת קטן בהרבה מהיקף האגן, לכן תהליך הלידה אצלם קל הרבה יותר.
קורס הכנה ללידה
הנושא השני החשוב לכל אישה לפני לידה ראשונה הוא קורס הכנה ללידה. מטרת הקורס להוריד את רמת החרדות הרבות והעצומות המלוות את תהליך הלידה. החרדות מגבירות את הכאב והפחד שלפני הלידה. הדבר משול לאדם ההולך על מדרכה ונתקל במכשול. ברגע שהוא רואה את המכשול, מידותיו, עומקו וגודלו - הוא יודע איך לעבור את המכשול. אולם אם לצורך הדוגמא נקשור את עיניו ונאמר לו מכשול לפניך – הוא לא ידע איך להתגבר עליו, משום שאינו רואה ומכיר אותו. כאשר אנו עוברים את הקורס, אנחנו לומדים בהרחבה על הלידה, השלבים השונים שלה, על מה שעומד לקרות, הציוד בו משתמשים וכו´. כל זה מקל עלינו יותר לעבור ואולי אפילו ליהנות מתהליך הלידה כמו שהיינו רוצים.
סוגי לידות
כללית, ניתן לחלק את סוגי הלידות לשתיים: לידה "רגילה" ולידה "טבעית". הסוג הראשון היא הלידה הרגילה המתקיימת בחדר הלידה. בסוג זה של לידה, היולדת נמצאת במעקב בחדר הלידה כשהיא משתמשת בתרופות להקלת הכאבים ומחוברת בידה למכשיר המוניטור, העוקב אחרי בריאות העובר וצירי הלידה.
תרופות להקלה על כאבי הלידה
התרופות המקובלות כיום להקלה על כאבים בלידה מתחלקות לשתי קבוצות:

ג. חסרון נוסף: זמן ההשפעה מוגבל למספר שעות קצר ולא נוטים לחזור על מתן הפטידין.

Before I survey the subject of birth and what is involved in the management of the delivery room and attending to labour, let me detail a number of points: Birth in humans is more difficult than in any other mammal. The reasons for this are twofold:
A. From the moment that man decided to walk on two feet, the diameter and circumference of his pelvis contracted.
B. Man decided to be intelligent and to speak, and since then the size and circumference of his head have grown.
The relationship between the size of the pelvis and the size of the head is generally marginal, and here lies the difficulty. In all other mammals the circumference of the head is smaller by far than the circumference of the pelvis, and so the birth process in their case is very much easier.
Preparatory Course for Childbirth
The second subject which is important for every woman before a first delivery is a course to prepare for birth. The object of the course is to lower the level of the many and great anxieties which accompany the birth process. The anxieties intensify the pain and the fear before birth. This can be compared to a person who is walking on a pavement and stumbles over an obstacle. The moment he sees the obstacle, its dimensions, its depth and its size - he knows how to pass the obstacle. But if, for the sake of our example, we were to blindfold him and tell him that there is an obstacle in front of him - he won't know how to overcome it, because he doesn't see and recognise it. When we go through the course, we learn about birth extensively, its various stages, about what is going to happen, the equipment which is used etc. All this makes it easier for us to pass through and perhaps even to enjoy the process of birth as we would wish.
Types of birth
Generally speaking, it is possible to divide the types of birth into two: “Regular” birth and “Natural” birth. The first of these is a regular birth which takes place in the delivery room. In this type of birth, the mother is within the restrictions of the delivery room when she uses pain-relief medications and is connected to a monitoring device which keeps track of the health of the foetus and the labour pains.
Drugs for relief of labour pains
The accepted medications nowadays for the relief of labour pains can be divided into two groups:
1. The opiate group – the famous Pethidin – which is a kind of synthetic morphine which is injected into the muscle or the vein. This causes an actual forgetting of the pains. Often it regulates the pains. Through its use, they become regular and effective.
Its disadvantages are:
A. It works in a way that transports the mother into her own dream world, which cuts her off at the time of peak influence from a full connection with what is going on around her.
B. If the baby is born within one hour from the administration of the injection, it is likely that its respiration centre will be anaesthetised and he will need a Pethidin antidote (which is called Naloxon (Narcanti®)) and/or some artificial respiration.
C. An additional disadvantage: The effective period is limited to a few hours only and one is not inclined to re-administer Pethidine.
2. The second approach to labour pain-reduction is epidural anaesthesia, which is the most accepted and most popular method.
With this approach, matter is injected into the region where the nerves enter the spinal column. (The injection is performed by an anaesthesiologist, as a general rule). The technical difficulty is to reach the correct place, the epidural space.
A. The material is injected by means of a thin plastic cannula which remains in place, usually until after the birth. The substance which is injected severs the conduction of pain recognition by means of the sensory nerves to the brain. A sort of electrical short-circuit is created and the sensation of pain does not reach the brain.
B. An additional advantage: The material causes expansion of blood vessels in the lower part of the body, which improves the blood supply to the womb and to the foetus and all connected with it.
C. A further advantage: To the extent that it is necessary to intervene surgically in any way with the birth process, one carries this out with the same approach, whereby what remains to do is to add material in a greater quantity through the plastic cannula which is already located within the epidural space – something which saves time and complications.
Disadvantages of epidural anaesthesia: There are those who argue that it extends the second stage of labour, to the extent that the pushing reflex of the mother is less felt by her and that it therefore interferes with the cooperation. There is also an opinion that the percentage of instrument-mediated births is thereby elevated. But not all are agreed on these opinions. An additional but very rare problem with epidural anaesthesia is the phenomenon of headache following birth. For this problem there is an immediate solution which reverses everything. Extended back pains following birth are not related to epidural anaesthesia. A mother can also go through a regular birth without any medical intervention in the event that the birth is quick and easy.
Doula birth support
In recent years, it has become possible for a member of the family to be present with the mother in the delivery room, which makes things much easier for the woman, supports her and greatly helps her. An additional new development in the last decade in the delivery room is the birth support worker or, by its international name, the “Doula”. These women, who have passed a preparatory course in the subject, support the mothers both physically and emotionally in various ways: by means of massage or light reflexology, and encourages her. According to the directives of the Ministry of Health, they are not allowed to interfere in the medical birth process, for example the giving of medicines or the decisions of the medical staff.
Natural Childbirth
The second type of birth is natural childbirth. These births are carried out without medical intervention. In natural childbirth there are other means to deal with the birth pains. One kind of such births is the water birth, when the woman is in a bath of water at a comfortable temperature. She can move and change position easily in the water and enjoy the calming effect of hot water which eases the pain in the muscles and relaxes them. Women who give birth with this type of delivery need to pass a special course to get them ready them for this delivery which prepares them and teaches them how to function in the water.

Other approaches are the accepted ones of Leboyer and Lamaze, which are based on correct breathing, the aim of which is to raise the concentration of oxygen in the blood – which eases and diminishes the sensation of pain. The approach espouses relaxation, change of position, use of appropriate music which the mother likes, dimming of lights, cooperation between the couple in relaxation, the carrying out of auto-hypnosis to varying degrees, and the like. These approaches are generally carried out with the help of a special midwife who has conducted the aforementioned preparation course for the mother in preparation for the birth and has practiced it the with the mother on many occasions, which is obligatory for the success of the delivery.
Caesarean section
A third kind of birth which needs to be mentioned is the Caesarean section. Nowadays every mother can come to the hospital and request to give birth by Caesarean section without any medical reason. Most hospitals in the Western world and in Israel will acquiesce to her wish and carry out the operation for her. A number of places will try to prevent the woman from undergoing an operation, possibly unnecessarily, but in the end it will be performed if that is her wish. There are many reasons for this decision of the medical establishment, and this is not the place to detail them. What is important to know is that the mother who is interested in having a Caesarean section ab initio, even without a medical reason for it, will be entitled to one.
To summarise, at your disposal as a woman about to give birth, stands a varied choice of delivery methods. There is nothing further for you but to choose and decide what is convenient and suited to you, to learn the method and to get ready for it, and in particular when we are talking about natural childbirth. It is important to emphasise that these things are not final and obligatory. For example, a mother in natural childbirth who feels pains and wishes to have an epidural injection need only ask, and she will receive it, of course.
