I am an experienced translator for business, marketing, web sites and software manuals, and have experience working for an airline. I recently attended a course on translating for the financial markets and IFRS annual reports/accounts.
Language skills: English mother tongue, bilingual written and spoken German (including Internet, business and airline jargon), good French and basic Portuguese and Spanish. Have interpreted live for a variety of conferences.
Computer skills: My laptop is equipped with Windows XP, Office XP, SDL Trados 2007 (Trados & SDLX) and Deja Vu; I am well versed in Trados, SDLX, Deja Vu, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, FrontPage, FrameMaker, PageMaker, email and Internet applications and can deliver projects by mail, fax and in most electronic formats.
Business: I have considerable experience of project management and working to tight deadlines without supervision, and fully understand the need for personal contact and keeping business partners informed of progress.
