Bio
Worldwide Translations is really just one person, me, an American who has been living in Prague, Czech Republic, for the last nine years. I began translating from Czech to English in 1997, and have since taken jobs in German and French. (I studied chemistry in Berlin in 1989-90, French in Clermont-Ferrand in 1991-92.) I not only translate but also edit texts.
My strength is PROSE, not technical English, and I rarely take technical jobs. I also understand and love both European and American POLITICS, this type of job being more pleasure for me than work. SCIENCE-related jobs are also a forte, since I studied chemistry. In Prague, I have worked as a freelance translator, English teacher, and journalist/editor for the financial newspaper Hospodarske Noviny, a member of the Dow Jones Group, where I translated and wrote BUSINESS and FINANCIAL articles.

Worldwide Translations is a new company which I established to make payment easier. I am in the process of establishing a pay pal account.
Prices range from 250 Czech crowns (CZK) per standard page (1800 characters) for Czech to English, which corresponds to around 11 USD at current exchange rates, to up to 20 USD (25 euro) per standard page for German and French to English.
