I have graduated from anthropology in Prague, Czech Republic (2007), and am currently taking a postgraduate course in development anthropology at London School of Economics and Political Science. I'm planning on starting a PhD next year. For full details on my education and working assignments, see the CV.
I have been translating academic papers in anthropology, social science and media studes as well as "verbatim reports" of the European Parliament. In past, I have also localized an NGO website (from Czech to English). However, I should be willing to pick up more knowledge in other fields as I go along translating, too - see my lists of "working" and "interest" fields.
I haven't been using a CAT tool as of yet but I believe I will be able to familiarize with one if needed. I'm generally rather flexible and able to provide the client a free sample translation of a portion of her/his text first.
