I am a native Bulgarian translator with university degrees and working experience in law and finance. My marriage led me to Western Washington where I lived in a typical Northwest mansion among lots of wild life. The only down side is that my deer pet regularly ate the rose buds in my garden.
Currently I am freelancing as a transaltor mostly for US and European agencies. My assignments include English- Bulgarian, Bulgarian - English and Russian- English translations, as well as proofreading. I specialize in General , Legal, Financial fileds and Computer terminology, with vast experience in the translations of legal documents and a special passion for literary translations. My great pleasure is the comparative study of American and British English with the colloquial variations on the both sides of the Atlantic ocean.
Recently I have completed a project for the US Department of Defense, numerous court decisions, title deeds and contracts, legal correspondence related to court trials in both USA and UK as well tax returns and various administrative documents. Among my projects is the translation of a web site, devoted to clinical trials of a new cancer treatment . As an interpreter I handle medical and legal interviews, concerning a wide variety of real life situations.
My greatest pleasure though is to translate poetry and literary works and I have helped a young Bulgarian author to translate her work.
