My capacity does not exceed 15.000 words per week. Besides general mechanical engineering I cover environmental technologies & environmental protection, heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, green heat & power, automotive engineering, and construction machinery.

I have 22 years and millions of words of specific experience. I rarely do business translations and will never accept a technical text in a field I am not familiar with. No patents, legal matters, art or history. Just what I have stated below.

My background

My first steps into the translation business during the late 1980's were supported by my mother, a technical translator. I finished my studies of mechanical engineering in 1990 at the University of Ljubljana, specializing in energy and process techniques. After that I started to work as a sales engineer for an international trading company, buying and selling steel just about everywhere between Russia and Italy. In 1996 I switched to the newly established Environmental Fund of Slovenia where I led a World Bank Project for 2 years and the Fund's environmental project support division for almost 10 years. In August 2008 I decided to have spent enough time in the banking business and continued as a freelance translator, finally commiting fully to the translation business and making a living from what I enjoyed to do since my studies. Occasionally I am involved in management consulting in project finance, which is what I am best in, second to translation of course.
