Faptul că libertatea nu are preţ e un adevăr la care se ajunge poate doar cu timpul. Am crezut întotdeauna că judecata lumii e preţul pe care trebuie să îl plătesc pentru a reuşi, sau a încerca, să trăiesc cum vreau.
Gândul, trudit şi adeverit, e că părerea celorlalţi este o haină pe care fiecare din noi trebuie să o îmbrace.
O haină ce poate să devină atât de strâmtă că te împinge spre anumite alegeri doar ca să încerci să faci cuiva pe plac şi constrângerea poate fi atât de puternică încât ajungi să te gândeşti că poţi să te accepţi pe tine însuţi numai dacă reuşeşti să ai aprobarea semenilor tăi.
Astăzi am ajuns la concluzia că, chiar dacă trupul meu va trebui să poarte în fiecare zi a vieţii mele şi chiar dincolo de ea, acest veşmânt strâmt, cel care-mi va hotărî măsura acţiunilor va fi însă Sufletul şi, în Suflet, dimensiunile pot deveni atât de mari încât fiecare poate reuşi să-şi dea jos straiul cusut de lume şi să îmbrace culorile propriei vieţi.
