Originating from a multicultural background, I was raised speaking both English and German.

At the age of 19, I made an early start as translator in 1998 and continuously expanded my skills by enhancing my native language skills and attending engineering courses at university. I also spent two international semesters in Oxford, UK and Pretoria, South Africa.

After university graduation as a mechanical engineer (German title: Diplomingenieur Maschinenbau FH) from a University of Applied Sciences in 2003, I assumed a position as a product and process planner with a well-known German premium-brand car manufacturer.

After 7 years on the job, my experience as an automotive engineer includes:
- production concept planning
- acquisition and realisation of highly automated production facilities for car bodies
- CAD systems for 2D/3D design
- cost- and process planning tools
- product development
- automation, mechanical engineering processes and technologies employed in a state-of-the-art automobile factory.

My technical translation and proofreading experience amounts to 10 years and builds on my university training, the practical engineering experiences and my native language skills.
