About me
After several years working as an Interpreter/Translator/Trainer and Tutor in the UK. I moved to Lyon (France), where I teach EFL and continue freelancing for some of the companies I worked for before the move (Thebigword, Orient Script, First Editions, The Home Office, Cintra, Local Administration, Police, amongst others.

In the UK, I worked as a Project Manager for Cintra, the regional public sector provider of interpreting and translation services in Cambridgeshire. My duties included the management of a large database of freelance translators. When my work as a Translation Coordinator allowed me to, I also worked as a freelance Translator and Interpreter. Cintra is also involved in the training of interpreters for the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, for which they called upon my expertise as a qualified teacher to undertake the training of new interpreters, and translators. I helped with several examinations, including the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, in an Interlocutor, as well as Examiner capacity.

Prior to that, I worked as a Spanish in-house technical and general Translator, and Editor. My duties include translating, editing and proofreading.

Before that, I worked as a multilingual Research Analyst, where I specialised in Medical and Pharmaceutical translation. Today, I continue my work as a translator, and transcription writer from English, French and Spanish on a freelance basis.

Currently living in France, I was resident in the UK for 12 years. In the UK, I was very involved with the provision of language services for the public sector, and worked with and for the community, namely in the fields of Law, Immigration, Social Services, Police, Health and Local goverment. I am also a fully qualified Translator and Conference Interpreter, often undertaking assignments for private clients of a more general and technical nature. MA in Translation and Interpreting @University of Bradford. UK.

In May 2005, I was a member of the team of interpreters at the conference organised in Cambridge by one of the largest manufacturers of synthetic corks.

My translation fees are negotiable and may start at 0.040 Euro per word.
