C'est dans la partie est de la Transylvanie que se trouve la terre appelée Pays des Sicules (Székelyföld en hongrois). Bordée par les Carpates et arrosée par des milliers de sources d'eau minérale, cette terre s'étend sur trois départements (Covasna, Harghita et Mures) et abrite une population majoritairement hongroise.
Bénéficiant de privilèges jusqu'au XVIème siècle, paradis de la culture hongroise, elle a été longtemps connue pour ses bains à l'eau guérisseuse, ses plus grandes richesses naturelles étant la forêt et l'eau minérale.
Le peuple qui l'habite est un peuple guerrier, ayant une philosophie et un humour singuliers. Fier de ses origines, il est connu pour sa droiture et sa justice, mais aussi pour son hospitalité. Gardien des frontières pendant plus de mille ans, aujourd'hui il garde jalousement ce qu'il lui reste des valeurs ancestrales : une langue, une culture, une musique, des danses, des savoir-faire qui sont les siens propres.

The land called the country of Sicules (Székelyföld in Hungarian) is situated in the Eastern part of Transylvania. Lined by the Carpathian Mountains and with thousands of mineral springs, it extends over three departments (Covasna, Harghita and Mures) and lives there a mainly Hungarian population.
A paradise of Hungarian culture, it benefited from privileges until the XVIth century, and was known for a long time for its healing baths, its biggest natural resources being the forest and the mineral water.
The people living here is a warrior people, having a particular philosophy and humor. Proud of their origine, they are known for their righteousness and their justice, but also for their hospitality. Guards of the borders during more than thousand years, today they jealously hang on to what has remained out of their ancestral values: their language, their culture, their music, their dances, and much special know-how.
