I have spent nineteen years turning all sorts of French texts into very readable, very smooth English.

I can tackle a wide range of subjects, and specialise in areas covered by general business, journalism, human resources, the environment, social sciences and politics, the third sector and general IT (having worked in the IT business before becoming a translator). I can also translate and edit Spanish texts that fall into these areas.

What I aim for when I translate is perfection: translations that do not sound like translations. A great deal of careful interpretation and rewriting therefore goes into my translation work. I adopt this approach with every translation project, from one-page articles to full-length books (for an example of a book I have translated, see WSSE).

I also have some experience in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, lectures and classes.

Pricing is per source word and my rates are very reasonable, with discounts for large volumes and NGOs.
