About me
I was technocrat during the period of 1982-2003 serving MP Govt. Electricity Board as Additional Executive Engineer. During my tenure, I was pioneer in adopting Computers and Information technology - against all odds - around my own work place to achieve better productivity. During my working in MPEB as govt employee, beyond my official capacity, I had started contributing to Indlinux (http://indlinux.org/ ) – a dream project then to bring Operating System in Hindi - by translating applications in Hindi in my free and leisure time. I had written technical article in Hindi and English both. I was a Member, Panel of technical writer in prestigious EFY (Electronics For You Magazine) group. I had written more than 100 highly technical articles in technical magazines like i.t (Information Technology), LFY (Linux For You) magazines.

I took Voluntary Retirement from service in July 2003, and had started contributing full time to i.t. community through my technical articles and Hindi Translations of Linux / Web Applications and programs. Due to my constant and determined Effort and mammoth work of Gnome Hindi translations, World’s first Unicode based Hindi Linux Operating system Milan got released in Feb. 2003.

Technical Translations:
I had translated entire KDE 3.2 – the application suit on Linux platform – in Hindi in record time of 3 months in 2004. KDE 3.2 had more than 100,000 strings. I had also translated many hundreds of applications of Linux platform in Hindi that includes Gnome, XFCE, GAIM, OpenOffice Help etc. I had translated more than 3,00,000 strings so far and counting. Due to my constant, determined and persistent effort, Hindi is now well distributed and is included among well supported languages in many mainstream Linux distributions like RedHat Linux, Ubuntu Linux etc. I had also done my ambitious project – translating KDE 4.1 in my native, mother-tongue, Hindi-variant language : CHATTISGARHI.

Above translation work (for Linux) is widely available in public domain as Free Open Source – anybody can use and distribute it for free.

KDE 4.1 Hindi is now also available for Windows XP and Windows Vista (http://winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/installer/ ). KDE 4.1 for Windows had hundreds of free computer programs all in Hindi language. Obviously, KDE 4.1 Chattisgarhi is also be available in Windows as well as Linux.
