Union Fund combines Asian fixed income for regular income with less risk , and Asian equities for potential capital growth supported by dividends , providing investors with an annual distribution and medium term capital stability.
Taking the Guesswork out of Asset Allocation
Union Fund will maintain a target 50:50 allocation into Asian fixed income and equities. Union Investments will actively rebalance to the target allocation so that the exposure to each asset class does not exceed 60% at any time. This ‘active rebalancing’ instils a buy low – sell high discipline . As one asset class rises, it is sold and reallocated to the other.
Annual Distribution
In the first three years, on 30 June 2004, 30 June 2005 and 30 June 2006, the Fund intends to make an annual distribution of 3 cents per Unit (i.e. 3% on the initial Issue Price of S$1.00). Thereafter the intended distribution will be at least 2 cents per Unit per year if the Issue Price equals or exceeds S$1.02 on any Dealing Day in the month ending on each 30 June. Distributions can be re-invested in the Fund.
The Fund is suitable for investors who seek stability and growth in capital in addition to regular income.
