I am available for literary and academic translation into English (special fields of expertise: humanities and social sciences; media and journalism), and business translation (PR material; professional correspondence; texts related to the tourism industry) into English, Dutch, and German.
I grew up speaking English and Dutch, studied Literature first in Germany, then in the UK, and am now based in London. I have substantial translation and editing experience, including English translation of articles on psychology for various academics, ongoing work for Dutch ski holiday portal OnTheSnow.nl, and two years as an editor/tutor at the University of Cologne's Department of Dutch Studies.
I have also done press work for Cologne-based English-language theatre company Port in Air, and worked as a (German-language) copywriter for leading Cologne-based media analysis company Unicepta.
My American background and UK education mean I am comfortable working in both US and UK English; whichever is your preference. I am also available for voice-over work in US English and Dutch.
My translation CV offers a more detailed overview of previous projects and experience.
Rates and turnover time vary. Please contact me for a quote.
I look forward to working with you.
