一週間前に音楽シーンへの復帰をかけたEPIC移籍第一弾"Human"がリリースされたばかりのブランディに、2年前の車4台が絡む多重衝突事故の被害者による新たな訴訟が持ち上がっていることが明らかになった。
米ゴシップサイトTMZ.comが報じたもので、被害者のDonald Lite氏は、事故当時のブランディの運転は、法廷速度以上のスピードで十分な車間距離も保っておらず、周囲の安全確認も行わない非常に軽率で無謀なものだったと主張。今なお痛みや苦痛伴う事故の後遺症に悩まされ医師とのカウンセリングや多くの診療を必要とし、仕事も十分にできない状況であるとして、具体的な金額は明かされていないが医療費、賃金保証などを含む最低限以上の損害賠償を求めているとのこと。

Brandy di nuovo sotto inchiesta per lo scorso incidente stradale.
E’ stata una grande sfida di ritorno sulla scena musicale, avvenuta la scorsa settimana, quella di Brandy a cui è stata appena affidata la prima di “Human” per il trasferimento a EPIC, quando dalle vittime del grave incidente di due anni fa in cui erano state coinvolte 4 macchine è stata risollevata una disputa legale.
Come ha trasmesso il sito americano di gossip TMZ.com, il Sig. Donald Lite (uno degli ingiuriati) ha asserito che la guida di Brandy al tempo dell’incidente superava la velocità consentita dalla legge, non teneva la distanza di sicurezza, non si è accertata della sicurezza circostante, è stata molto imprudente e sconsiderato .
Date le circostanze che accompagnano un incidente: sofferenza e pene, necessità del counseling medico, e inabilità a perseguire il lavoro indipendentemente, concrete somme di denaro non sono ancora stabilite, ma sono incluse la garanzia di retribuzione e le spese mediche e si cerca la più alta indennità per il danno subito.
