Traduction, voila qui donne à réfléchir. Il s’agit de rendre disponible dans une autre langue les pensées, les idées, la volonté, d’une personne.
Ces 3 principes font errantes partis des résultats escomptés pour ma traduction : fidélité, clarté et originalité. Je m’engage de faire une traduction aussi littérale que possible dans la mesure où celle-ci par sa lourdeur n’obscurcir pas la pensée.
Je me garde de toute traduction libre par simple souci de concision. Dans la mesure où c’est possible je fais preuve d’originalité surtout si le contexte exige impérieusement l’adoption d’un autre terme ; cela impose toutefois des limites au choix des mots.
Je m’interdis dans la limite du possible de traduire comme je pense que celui qui parle ou qui écrit aurait du s’exprimer.
