Brought up in Ireland, England and France, I received an international education, learning Irish, Spanish and French from primary school. Having first studied at UCL, I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dutch Language and Literature. Throughout my studies in the UK, I worked for The Broadcast Monitoring Company where I translated for major financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and Bear Sterns in the City, as well as The Financial Times. Between 1997 and 2001, I studied for my doctoraal, specialising in Dutch and Art History. While in The Netherlands, I worked with art dealers, auction houses and non-profit art organisations. During this period, I first started working as a translator specifically for a property magazine and various museums.

With over thirteen years’ experience of the Dutch language, I specialise in translations of a financial, commercial and academic/literary nature. I also work in French, and I am currently learning Italian.

Aside from translating, I am experienced in teaching (both as a Dutch language teacher and a ski instructor!).
