Abstract
Water shortage and its salinity is a problem in the field of agriculture in the world today. Different plants definitely show different reactions to salinity and dryness. Knowing these reactions is necessary to optimize the use of water in the field of agriculture. Therefore, an experiment was done to explore function and function members of Single Cross 704 hybrid corn with a density of 6 bushes in a vase under laboratory conditions in the year 2008 (1387A.H.). Results showed the reaction of corn to dryness and salinity. This research was done in form of a fully random with factorial including 16 care and 3 repetition (2 groups of salinity and dryness). Water stress care was done in 4 evaporation levels of 40, 60, 80 and 100 percent from A class basin, and salinity care was done in 4 levels of 1, 3, 5 and 8 irrigation water. In this research the number of clusters and leaf, stem diameter, leaf area, stem length, wet leaf weight, dry leaf weight, wet stem weight, and dry stem weight were assessed. Results showed that salinity stress is measured on all parameters in 0.01 level and has been effective on all of them with a possibility of 99% but the stem diameter. Dryness stress also was effective on all parameters but leave area with a possibility of 99%. But reciprocal effect of dryness and salinity on work was not so meaningful. The best function of cluster production was done in care with moisture evacuation of 20% and salinity of 1 and the best function of dry stem weight and dry leaf weight were done in care with moisture evacuation of 20% and salinity of 1 and 3 .
Key words: Moisture stress, Salinity stress, Corn function

I, MITRA ASKERYAN of 3 Strawberry Fields, Great Broughton, Chester, Cheshire, CH3 5YF
WILL SAY as follows:-
I was born in the city of Shiraz, Fars state. I have lived in Shiraz my whole life except for one year that I spent in Tehran when I was a child. I grew up with my parents and four brothers. My father was a general in the army. He retired a long time ago. He is now seventy-five years old. My mother is a housewife. All of my brothers are older than me. I am the youngest child.
I first attended school (Primary) around the age of six or seven. I attended Shiraz Azad Islamic University to study accounting. I then attended Shiraz University to study marketing management. I never graduated from this last course as my mother was in hospital having an operation and I was also not too happy with the course. I never undertook any further education.
Prior to attending university I passed some exams and attended some interviews. However, as my family is politically active they would not let me enter these government-sponsored institutions. I never passed the religious interview.
For some time I was self-employed. I used to make hand-made art called ‘moargh’ which I painted. I also taught swimming too. Most of this work was for a short time as financially I did not need the money. I did this to keep myself busy. I was still living at home at this time.
Roughly around two years ago my mother’s auntie introduced me to a man by the name of Mostafa Ebrahimi. This took place in my house. He was introduced to me with the idea of marrying him. My parents were supportive of this proposal. My initial reaction was that I did not want to marry him. He was not the first man that they introduced me to. I had rejected their previous suggestions but they told me I had to do it.
Mostafa was a taxi-driver from Shiraz. He was thirty-five when I met him. My initial thought was that I hate this man – I did not want to marry him. I told my parents so but they said he was an ideal man and as I had rejected previous proposals they put more pressure on me.
They forced me to marry him after five days. We went to the Mahzar to marry and then went to my parent’s house afterwards for the celebrations. It was clear from my face that I did not like this man and I hated him.
After we married we began living together at Mostafa’s mother’s house. Mostafa had a bad attitude. He hit me and on one occasion he attacked me with a knife. Most of the time we argued. He was getting drunk in the house and he never let me go to see my family.
I left to go back to my parents but he came and took me back home. He never got better so I file for a divorce and this was just six months after we married.
My parents were not happy with the situation and advised me to go back to him. After he attacked me with a knife my parents allowed me to stay. After this I started the divorce but he rejected it – he would not allow me to divorce him.
I hired two different lawyers for this matter and on two court dates Mostafa never attended. He refused to divorce me. In Iran it is the man who decides whether they divorce. The Judge told me that I should listen to Mostafa and follow what he was saying. Legally I am still married to Mostafa – he would not give me the divorce.
I met my partner, Babak Shabani, after I came back to my parents. He was working in an interpreting agency with some other people and I saw him there. I was a friend of the lady who owned the business – Mrs. Alizadeh. This lady knew of my problems. I used to chat with her about what happened to me.
Babak liked me and we chatted several times on the phone. Whenever I visited Mrs. Alizadeh I saw him there and could speak to him. I would tell my parents that I was going shopping or to the swimming pool but really I was seeing Babak. Also, I used going to see Mrs Alizadeh as a cover for seeing Babak.
Babak was single. We used to meet together in the park, cinema, coffee shop or hotels. I was worried that we would be caught. Mostly we met in secret. We did this for around four or five months.
We went to the British Embassy as I wanted to go to the United Kingdom with him as he had been there before. He lived there previously and he knew how to apply for a visa and he speaks English. He got a visa that time when he came with me. He had time left on his multiple visa so he could come with me. I went to get a visa but the British Embassy wanted my birth certificate. The form asks if you are single or married – I put single but my birth certificate says married and Mostafa’s name is there. Also, in Iran you need your husband’s permission to leave the country if you are a married woman.
They refused my visa and I had to return to Shiraz. When I came back to Shiraz from Tehran my passport was with me. One day when I was out of house my husband’s mother came to our house to make reconciliation between me and her son Mostafa. She told my parents to bring my passport because Mostafa wanted to take me on holiday and my parents accept that.
When I came back home I found out what was happening. I wanted to get my passport back but they did not give it back to me. My husband said not only would he not give me my passport back but also if I did not come back home I would blacklisted, which means I could not go out of the country.
I tried to get a new passport. I had to go through some legal procedures and it took several months. Also I had to provide my husband permission. During this time my affair with Babak was discovered then and we had to run away.
Some time later Babak and I were spotted in the park together. We did not know at the time. We were together in the evening time and I received a call on the landline. My mother answered and she was talking to the caller – she asked me if what she was hearing was true. It was Mostafa’s mother. She said that she is going to the authorities and that I can not have the passport. They said they saw me with another man. If I had gone to court I could have been charged with adultery and have been sentenced to death by stoning.
My mother was so angry and upset, as was my father. We argued about this for a long time and they wanted to know what happened. I stayed at home for some days afterwards and my parents made plans with Babak for us to leave within two days.
We knew an Agent and I had some money in the bank. We met outside the house. We paid the agent twenty million Tomans. The destination was to Canada.
We went by car from Shiraz to Tehran. From Tehran we went to Oromeye and then Turkey. I travelled with Babak for the whole journey. We stayed in a house in Turkey. We do not know where. We remained in Turkey for a few days. The agent then arranged for us to be driven to Europe clandestinely within a HGV. We were driven to Europe and arrived in Brussels in Belgium.
We met a colleague of the agent's in Brussels who provided us with train tickets to the UK. This man gave us instructions. He instructed Babek that if stopped he should claim to be a post-graduate student and that I was his dependant. We accepted his instructions. We had no other alternative. The agent and his colleagues were experienced. We had paid them a significant amount of money. We felt utterly reliant upon them. They had this power and we feared it.
We attempted to board the train at Brussels but we were unsuccessful. The UK border
agency operates a control point there. They refused to admit us.
We were questioned by the UK Immigration Officers and we were fingerprinted. They asked us to wait until the Belgian police arrived. I became frightened. I feared that the Belgian authorities would deport us to Iran. Babek asked the Immigration Officer if he could apply for asylum in the UK. He told us that this was impossible as we were not in the UK.
The Belgian police arrived and we were transferred into their custody. Babek explained to them that he had lost my passport. They wanted to speak to the Iranian Embassy and procure a travel document. The Embassy was unresponsive. It was getting late. They decided to release us and provided us with the Embassy contact details.
We met the agent and explained what had happened. He told us that he would find another way and that he would provide us with a travel document. We returned to Turkey
clandestinely and by a similar method. In Turkey we were provided with false travel
document’s by the agent. The agent obtained airlines tickets and we flew from Turkey to the UK. We were told by the agent to destroy the travel documents during the flight. He told us that in the UK we would meet another agent who would then facilitate travel to Canada.
When we arrived at the airport we knew we were in the United Kingdom but we did not know what to do. We were approached and asked what we were doing. They then separated us and questioned us separately. I felt under pressure and I had pains in my left arm. Babak had some hearing problems and they had to call an ambulance.
If we return to Iran we will both be killed. They will stone me to death. I have spoken to my parents since I have been in the United Kingdom. Mostafa and his family keep threatening to report me – they say they already have and Mosataf told my father that he has told the authorities not to let me out of the country. As far as I know Mostafa’s family do not know that I am in the United Kingdom.
