Metropolis
An abscess of steel, glass, chrome gnaws its way, gnashing, shrieking
through stony deserts, which have long since suffocated all greenery of old.
Spluttering smokestacks spew sulphurous spirals across turbid skies full of sallow
smoke and scattered light.
Rusty towers breeding daily like flies greedily graze holes
in grey ragged clouds, floodlit by Babylonian tidings of
neon light and envy
A sea of bodies surges through deep gorges like transmuted ants,
absurdly following chronological commands, a fever of intoxication, sucked in and
spewed out in a calculated rhythm, to the shrill ring of gurglingly
guttural factory sirens and gigantic, deified, roaring
machines.
Roughly-hewn cogwheels turn in a harmonious monotony
meshing with a rumble, keeping the unfathomable system irremediably
alive through the storms of time, hunted by flickering flashes of raw
material and pure energy.
The sluggish masses throng like lava streams to the gigantic,
gleaming temples of wage labour and back to sightless cave-like dwellings
through forests of clanging loudspeakers churning out brainwashing messages
and prayers.
The flow of bodies delivers newly synchronised, quivering
worm feed by the second for the fuel-oozing, gluttonous maws of incarceration
factories of surplus value
Two individuals slip nimbly through a slender chink in the concrete and
escape swiftly and noiselessly into the night!

Metropolis
Ein Geschwür aus Stahl, Glas, Chrom frisst sich knirschend, schreiend
durch steinerne Wüsten, die alles Grün einst unter sich erstickten.
Stotternde Schlote speien Schwefel Schwaden in trübe Himmel voll fahlem
Rauch und diffusem Licht.
Sich täglich wie Fliegen vermehrende, rostige Türme kratzen gierig Löcher
in graue Wolkenfetzen, angestrahlt von babylonischen Botschaften aus
Neonlicht und Neid
Durch tiefe Schluchten wogt ein Meer aus Leibern wie mutierte Ameisen,
widersinnig Zeit- Befehlen folgend, ein Fieber Rausch, ein gesogen und
ausgespieen im berechneten Rhythmus, im schrillen Klang gurgelnd
gutturaler Werksirenen und gigantischen zu Gott gewordenen, grölenden
Maschinen.
Roh behauene Zahnräder drehen sich im Gleichklang der Monotonie
brüllend ineinander, halten das unbegreifliche System unabänderlich am
Leben im Sturm der Zeiten, verfolgt von flackernden Blitzen aus roher
Materie und purer Energie.
Die trägen Massen wälzen sich wie Lavaströme zu den gigantischen,
schimmernden Tempeln der Lohnarbeit und zurück in blinde Wohnhöhlen
durch Wälder scheppernder Lautsprecher mit Gehirnwäsche Botschaften
und Gebeten.
Der Körperstrom gebiert sekündlich neues gleichgeschaltetes, zuckendes
Wurm Futter für Kraftstoff triefende, gierige Schlünde der Gefängnis
Fabriken des Mehrwerts
Zwei Individuen schlüpfen behände durch eine feine Ritze im Beton und
entkommen auf flinken leisen Sohlen in die Nacht!
