Hello, my name is Ryan LLoyd. I am an experienced world travel from America who has particularly high skill levels in German and Korean.
My major was German, and I lived in Austria for 6 months, so that would be my most proficient foreign language, but I also lived in South KOrea for 1 1/2 years, where I achieved a near fluency in Korean. Since then, I have often used both languages, especially Korean. I speak, listen to, and read Korean on a daily basis, as my wife is Korean and I take an advanced Korean class at the Univ. of Hawaii.
I am especially looking for opportunities to use my fluency to near fluency in German and Korean. I can also read Spanish well, so I think it's likely that I could do a translation project involving it and either German, Korean, or English.
Admittedly, I am an amateur translator with no formal training in translating and only a few working experiences (two small projects with Korean and one large project with German), but I am a bonafide linguist and am extremely conscientious about my work.
I am very flexible on the type of material to translate. I am a creative writer well versed in a wide variety of subjects, especially literature and natural sciences.
I am VERY flexible on pricing.
