Grièvement blessé le 11 février dernier lors d'une tentative de coup d'Etat menée par d'anciens militaires, Jose Ramos-Horta avit été hospitalisé en Australie dans un hôpital prestigieux de Sydney. Plongé dans le coma pendant près de deux semaines, le président du Timor-oriental a subi plusieurs interventions chirurgicales afin de réparer les dégâts causés par les nombreux impacts de balles dont il a été la cible. José Ramos-Horta a été élu président en mai 2007. Libéré de la tutelle de l'Indonésie depuis 1999, le Timor-oriental a connu ces dernières années de longues périodes d'instabilité politique. President José Ramos-Horta arrived today in Dili, the Country’s capital , two months after having survived an assassination attempt.
The Noble Prize Laureate of 1996 was welcomed as an hero by thousands of East Timoreese, as soon as he alighted from the plane.
He was seriously injured on the 11th February, following a military coup by the old military regime. José Ramos-Horta was hospitalised in Australia in a prestigious hospital in Sydney. He remained in a coma for almost two weeks . The East Timor President was submitted to several operation interventions to repair the wounds he received, caused by the impact of the numerous shots of which he was the target.
José Ramos-Horta was elected in May 2007. East-Timor managed to break free from Indonesia after 1999. East Timor has experienced in the last years long periods of political instability. The authorities in the country are faced with prevalent attacks.

"El domingo es el día de la Resurrección y Paraguay va a resucitar en las urnas". Las últimas palabras en campaña del obispo Fernando Lugo, líder de la izquierdista Alianza Patriótica por el Cambio (APC), reflejan el clima de expectación con el que los paraguayos acuden hoy a las urnas en una votación que, de acuerdo con las encuestas, puede poner fin a 61 años de hegemonía del Partido Colorado.

E mentre la città si estende a macchia d'olio, i centri storici perdono varietà e si spopolano sotto il peso di prezzi salatissimi. Nel 1998 una legge del Lazio (55/98) ha istituzionalizzato la cooperazione tra abitanti abusivi e Comune per il recupero di aree dimesse. Ma Renato Rizzo, presidente della cooperativa "Vivere 2000", la sua soluzione al consumo di territorio l'ha trovata molto prima. "In piazza Sonnino racconta Rizzo - nello storico quartiere romano di Trastevere abbiamo occupato abusivamente, il 14 luglio 1989, la nostra Bastiglia. Era un immobile già sgombrato e abbandonato da dieci anni, un ex convento. Non c'era niente, né soffitto né ingresso. Abbiamo ristrutturato per sette anni a spese nostre". Poi l'impegno, la lotta e l'accordo istituzionale. Finalmente, nel 2005 una delibera comunale ha trasformato dodici palazzi abbandonati in altrettanti cantieri di auto-ristrutturazione e 12 famiglie di ex-occupanti in legittimi inquilini. | Translation - Portuguese Coop. Escreve-se sprawl mas lê-se alargamento da periferia urbana. Perda de qualidade. Consumo de território. E enquanto a cidade se estende, como uma mancha de ólio, os centros históricos perdem a variedadede vida e despovoam-se sobre o pezo dos prêços amargos.
Em 1998, uma lei de Lazio (55/98) criou a cooperação entre os habitantes renegados e a Comuna, con fins de recuperar as àreas abandonadas. Mas Renato Rizzo, Presidente da Cooperativa “Viver 2000”, encontrou a solução para a perda de território muito antes.
“Na praça de Sonnino- diz-nos Rizzo- no bairro histórico romano de Trastevere, ocupámos à socapa, no dia 14 de Julho, a nossa Bastilha. Tratava-se de um edificio já evacuado e abandonado por uns dez anos - um ex-convento.
Não tinha nada; nem tectos nem porta de entrada. Por sete anos o renovamos por nossa conta”. A seguir aos trabalhos, a luta,e o acordo institucional.
Finalmente em 2005, uma lei Comunal transformava doze blocos de apartamentos abandonados, no equivalente número de locais de construção e, doze familias de ex- ocupantes se tornavam inquilinos legitimos.
