It's definitely worth it. I've been a registered user at ProZ.com since 2002, but only started getting jobs through the site after becoming a member. The membership fee paid back after the first order.

I must say that I continue to be breathless at how well ProZ.com anticipates / accommodates the needs of freelance translators. . . I was tearing my hair out and tossing small wads of money down the drain trying to find an invoicing program that did only what yours now does and nothing more.

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. I left my "safe" English teaching job and recontacted my old clients. It didn't take long and I was soon back on track. Thanks to ProZ I have made contacts with new agencies around the world. I joined Proz to have greater contact with the translation community at large. I decided to organize a Powwow and was pleasantly surprised to receive a job offer as well as an opportunity to collaborate in writing for a Web page from two invitees. Talk about unexpected benefits!

Thanks to ProZ.com in one year my life has changed, I have now become a full time translator, receiving many jobs from Italy and mainly abroad, I have now created my full time job which I can do from any part of the world or just by staying at home, all of this has been possible thanks to ProZ.com and the friendly and warm community support network!
