Once I discovered ProZ.com, I immediately became a member and started to reply to job offers. Now, thanks to ProZ.com I have many good clients all over the world.Thanks to ProZ.com my dream of becoming a full-time freelance translator has come true, together with a good income. I have been working as a translator for a number of years and have been using ProZ.com as an aid on numerous occasions. I came to the point of considering myself completely hooked on it. It made my life easier when in desperate need of immediate consultation. It is easy to use and gives you immediate response when certain translation-related issues arise and need to be promptly addressed. ProZ.com is an essential tool for translators and interpreters. For me, it is a virtual work and marketplace. Forums, Powwows, conferences and group buys add a very beneficial social component without which many translators would feel very lost and alone in today's market.

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. I left my "safe" English teaching job and recontacted my old clients. It didn't take long and I was soon back on track. Thanks to ProZ I have made contacts with new agencies around the world. I have met colleagues worldwide and found new friends... Words are my passion and this is the ideal job for me with growing children who love to see me around. Ora che sono membro pagante mi si sono aperte moltissime porte, ho potuto allargare la mia rete di clienti (grazie alla Blue Board) e si vedono già i primi risultati.

La scelta di iscrivermi come freelance si è rivelata subito fruttuosa! Nel giro di qualche mese ho avuto dei contatti interessanti che in alcuni casi si sono trasformati in collaborazioni. Quindi per quel che mi riguarda consiglio vivamente questo investimento, dato che non solo la spesa iniziale si ripaga in fretta ma si ha accesso a numerosi servizi interessanti e utili.

One thing is for sure, I have never regretted my membership: the forums contain a wealth of extremely useful information and colleagues are always willing to help with advice; the Blue Board has saved me from making bad business decisions on at least two occasions - saving me hundreds if not thousands of Euros and countless hours of lost time; both organizing and attending powwows has allowed me to meet some incredible people and build a strong network. Paying for membership is not only a way to gain access to all the site has to offer, for me it is also a way to support this community and encourage its development.
