If you surf to http://www.aquaplastics.org/english/default.asp, you can donate to support a clean water project just by clicking on a button. Or you can sent this link to people you know in your address book, who will not object to it. It is no spam and who knows it might help others.

Don't praise me. If everybody, who surfs to proz.com takes a second/day of their time and if their acquaintances take a second/day and if the acquaintances of the acquaintances take a second/day the bucket might get filled.

thanks for pointing this out Williamson. To anyone else reading this, it is not a matter of donating money directly, all you have to do is click in the middle of the page. The European Plastic Industry does the rest (€0.10/click). You can earn an extra €0.10 by answering the quiz question on the left-hand side of the page. | |

Way to go, Williamson. Very good job, my friend. Went to the site, it is not spam, clicked, answered the bonus question correctly, clicked again. This URL has been forwarded to EVERYONE on my list with a personal request to click, answer, click and forward again, thank you very much for finding this, it's vital. If every member here alone clicked, answered and clicked again they would receive the equivalent of $15,000 overnight. Sounds like a lot of free, easy, clean water for people that really... the bucket might get filled. The above is a very well-known, well-used Swahili (KiSwahili) proverb, it means "little by little the cooking pot is filled" i.e. many small things or efforts can add up" so, let's fill this "bucket" by clicking. | | | Sonia Gomes Local time: 02:33 Portuguese to English + ... Williamson thank you for getting this thread rolling. There is so much we can do for others less fortunate than we are. In India, there is an organization CRY (Child Relief and You) which collects donations for street children, I have seen so many street children and in such terrible, terrible conditions. Talking about them suffocates me. I wanted to help but did not know how. Then I hit on a novel idea, I would donate 10% of every assignment I did. Frankly, sometimes the money kep... Frankly, sometimes the money kept aside was very small, but little by little I did collect a good amount and the day I sent this amount was so good for me I cannot describe it. I am now on my second project !!! So keepon clicking, it not only does othres good, it will help you too. Remember what goes around comes back too. If some of you would contact the local charity organisations, political parties, newspapers or local radio/tv-stations, the bucket might get filled a little bit faster. Even if they do not spread the word, they all have an editorial staff who use a computer...click, click

Why not give this link in other forums too? It looks great. Thanks Williamson! | | | Williamson United Kingdom Local time: 22:03 Flemish to English + ... TOPIC STARTER Some replies. | Mar 25, 2004 |
@ Gillian :It is not work related, so an off-topic forum is a better place for such posts. -- I leave it up to others to put that link there and on other lists after requesting the permission of the owners of these lists. It is not work related, so you stand a chance that they will refuse.

Although this support idea for a great project is a very good one, I agree with you on the fact that its place is here, which doesn't mean that it couldn't be as Off-Topic in other (non-English) Forums. An other idea could be to refloat it in one or two more months. There have already been similar projects (that you can help by just a click), here's one for Breast Cancer http://www.thebreastcancersite.com And there was another one to give to Argentine children a glass of milk every day, so it would be hard to chose which project to put in another place. I think you've suggested good places, e-mail the link, talk about it, refloat it... Thanks Claudia
