Exercise? Jan 24, 2016

I do open them now and then, but I do not have any idea how to exercise my eyes.
Fortunately I have good eyesight and have never had to look into such stuff - Touch wood!

But I do remember to exercise and massage my fingers before starting typing. That's something I used to see my mother do every day before playing: she was a professional pianist. Maybe that's the reason I have never experienced hand or wrist pains I hear so many people complain about...

I live alone. No small kids (my grandchildren aren't small anymore), no hubby, just a dog (only during the week)…

When you move your eyes, you're actually moving the tiny muscle bands holding your eyeballs. They move your eyeballs up and down, and side to side, and when you roll them.

Your eye lenses need exercise too: when you focus on a near object and when you focus on a distant one. Ask your ophthalmologist.

No, you're opening and closing your eyelids.

The Internet is full of incomplete and deceitful information on health. For example, if you have a sore low back, a certain website (spine-health.com, I think) recommends you apply a hot pad. Now, my licensed physical therapist (who earned her master degree in the field) told me that it's cold pads or packs that you should apply to sore or painful muscles (or lower back).

Of course, there are good websites written by real doctors. Always check with your physician, though.

Qi Gong Jan 25, 2016

I do exercise for my eyes, taught by my Qi Gong teacher.
A man in the course exercises his eyes for years (5 minutes a day), and doesn't need reading glasses anymore...

Like Mario said,
for all health issues find a good doctor or teacher
and don't rely on advertised internet sites...
