Suddenly my MyMemory plugin has stopped working and Studio has disabled it automatically. I have tried reinstalling the plugin but to no avail. Has anyone come across this and can recommend what else to try? Many thanks already in advance! ▲ Collapse

Same problem | Mar 11, 2016 |
I have the same problem, not just with MyMemory but also with AnyTM. When I uninstall these plugins, the error message does not come up. However, as soon as I re-install one of the two plugins, I get the error message again. Apart from that, Trados Studio seems to be working fine. It is still strange as I cannot seem to remember changing any settings in Trados Studio... or Windows. Maybe it has to do with the latest Windows Updates last week???

messed up plugins | Mar 11, 2016 |
Sally1967 wrote: Maybe it has to do with the latest Windows Updates last week??? I think this is the point. Some of us have problems with MyMemory plugin, but other plugins are involved too (see links I quoted above). I suppose there is something in the Windows Update that messed up plugins.

If someone has much time...he/she can uninstal updated one by one, restarting PC each time, untill the "bad" file can be identified.

Definitely the last update for Windows 7 is the issue | Mar 12, 2016 |
Uninstalling the updates does work. I first uninstalled all of the latest "updates for Microsoft Windows" and then restarted my PC, but the problem persisted. Only after removing all of the latest "Security updates for Microsoft Windows" was I able to open Trados as normal with the MyMemory plugin active. So I would recommended starting there. Maybe the new update is treating plugins like a virus. Hopefully as time goes by, as PLR TRADUZIONI me... See more Uninstalling the updates does work. Dear colleagues, This morning I had to work on my PC at home and, obviously, as I had yesterday on my office PC, was the same today at home: mymemory disabled. Thanks to Matthew’s advice, I then decided to ONLY cancel the “security for windows” updates, while yesterday on my other PC, I had deleted ALL windows updates. Thanks to Matthew’s advice, I then decided to ONLY cancel the “security for windows” updates, while yesterday on my other PC, I had deleted ALL windows updates. At home I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium edition in Italian version. I don't know if file names changes depending on Windows version. So, among the last updates I received, I can exclude that the following “KB” files for windows update are responsible: 3135988 3121255 3118401 2952664 Now, among the “Windows security updates”, as I could not cancel at once all them for some strange reason…. I can also exclude two files that are NOT responsible for the problem, as I still have them on my update list and mymemory works: 3140734 3138910 Finally, the list of all 9 KB files I deleted at once to get mymemory working; obviously one of them is the bad friend: 3140410 3139940 3139929 3139914 3139852 3139398 3138362 3135988 3135983 I hope this helps a little bit…. Have a nice weekend

I think I've cracked it, on Windows 10 at least, it's security update KB3140768
I can confirm Andrew's solution for Win10. I have uninstalled Windows Security Update KB3140768, re-installed MyMemory and AnyTM... and both plugins are working again!
