Unpaid clients

I am really worried about working with some companies. I had a hard time about which company I trust or not. Please give me your best advice about getting my money. We have worked some projects with few companies but they refuse to pay us. Tell me what I have to do? Some of them are as far as from Middle East, UK, USA, Germany and India.

I am really worried about working with some companies. I had a hard time about which company I trust or not. Please give me your best advice about getting my money. We have worked some projects with few companies but they refuse to pay us. Tell me what I have to do? Some of them are as far as from Middle East, UK, USA, Germany and India.



Some of these companies are still posting some projects at ProZ.com. One company refused to pay us, the contact person even changed his e-mail address and the e-mail start coming back but I found his new e-mail address and contacted him and he told me his company is losing several projects and do not have any thing to pay me. Some of the companies looked an angle till the project completed, after they got what they want they disappeared. Since some of you could have the similar experience, please tell me how to deal with this people and how to prevent my self from this happing. Now I have a hard time how trust any company

Did you check the Blue Board (or enter a query there about the agencies you're referring to) Jan 21, 2003

and/or did you check with any of the payment practices lists available on the net before accepting the assignments you\'re referring to?



If not, this would definitely be a good start.

Once I was requested to translate the incorporation papers for a branch of a very well known computer company. They avoided my calls and so on, so I sent them a certified letter stating that I would address their headquarters reporting such non-payment. Miracle. They paid forthwith. It worked then, but...
