Gemma Capellas-Espuny


Gemma Capellas-Espuny was born in Sabadell (Barcelona) in 1973. She graduated in translation into Spanish by the Universidad Autnoma of Barcelona (English and Japanese) and the University of Geneva (English and French), specializing in legal and economic texts. She also holds two postgraduate diplomas from the University of Geneva in computer-assisted translation and in terminology. Ms. Capellas is registered as an official translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at present she is working as a temporary translator in various international organizations seated in Geneva. Publications and conferences include articles on legal translation and computer-assisted translation within international organizations.
