Algunas agencias o editoriales pretenden que, a igualdad de prestación y calidad, y siempre hablando del mercado internacional, debe pagarse menos a los profesionales latinoamericanos freelance, con el argumento de que su moneda vale menos y su costo de vida local es inferior. Este artículo plantea la necesidad de reclamar la igualdad de tarifas y refuta este argumento, tan falaz como discriminatorio.
