7th ProZ.com International Conference, Prague (Czech Republic), 2 and 3 October, 2010

Source: ProZ.com conferences
Story flagged by: Anne Diamantidis
The annual ProZ.com international conference is a strongly rooted tradition within the biggest translators community worldwide. It was started in 2001 by Angela Arnone with the first World Conference in Tuscany. Since then, the ProZ.com conferences family has grown along with the number of events conducted every year, but the international conference remained and became the “must attend event” for many translators.
Ever since the first conference, dedicated site members and local organizers have closely worked with staff to hold this conference yearly, making it an excellent excuse for all translators to leave their office, travel, see old friends and make new ones, benefit from top industry speakers, learn about the latest trends as well as ways to improve and boost their work, visit new places… and, of course, celebrate (and much more)!
This year, the beautiful city of Prague will host this historic event, held under the motto “Achieving Recognition and Prestige”, hoping to find the answer(s) to a question that appears to be a major concern for the translation profession: “What can we do on our own as translators to achieve recognition for our work and a high standing that we certainly deserve?”
Complete information, program and registration here .
Early-bird discounted registration expires on August 1st.
