The Centre for Legal and Institutional Translation Studies (Transius) will hold its first international conference on 24-26 June 2015. This will be a joint conference combining two complementary events: a conference on Law, Translation and Culture (LTC5) organised in collaboration with the Multicultural Association of Law and Language (MALL), and a legal and institutional translation seminar organised in collaboration with IAMLADP’s Universities Contact Group (UCG).

The joint conference will provide a forum for dialogue between scholars and practitioners with a common interest in legal translation and institutional settings of translation more generally. It will be the first of a new series of conferences organised by Transius following the long tradition of the Geneva school of Legal Translation Studies. This initiative illustrates the Centre’s renewed commitment to fostering international cooperation and advocating translation quality in the field. More.
