In one of the Star Trek movies, Mr. Spock is talking with Klingons when somebody quotes from William Shakespeare. A linguist developed that fictional language, and now he’s president of the Washington Shakespeare Company. At a benefit this weekend, the company will perform scenes of Shakespeare, first in English then in Klingon. Listen to the story.

I once was in a long line at a bookstore, with a Klingon grammar, dictionary, and teach-yourself textbook (with audiocassette) in my arms. I was only two people away from the cash register when I repented and took them all back. Part of me still regrets that!
