NUI Galway will host it’s first International Language Conference entitled Translation, Technology and Autonomy in Language Teaching and Learning on 10 to 11 December 2010.
Over 80 speakers will examine issues relating to translation, technology and autonomy in language learning and teaching over the two days . Speakers will present in Irish, French, Spanish, Italian and English and delegates for the Conference come from up to twenty countries and fifty third-level institutions.
The conference will appeal to a diverse audience including language teachers at primary, secondary and third level as well as translators and those with an interest in language aquisition.
The inaugural event is hosted by the School of Languages, Literatures & Cultures, Acadamh na hOllscolaîochta Gaeilge and The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the University.
