The board of Translators without Borders elected three new board members at its annual general meeting earlier this month. The board members, who were elected from a deep pool of nominated professionals, replace three board members who have generously supported Translators without Borders for the past two years.

Additionally, four current board members were re-elected to their positions.

The new Translators without Borders board members are:

Enrique Cavalitto, Project Manager at ProZ.com and manager of the Translators without Borders Translation Center, the only automated humanitarian translation platform that links NGOs with vetted professional translators.

Iris Orriss, Principal Lead Program Manager, Online Services Division for Microsoft and a long-time supporter of Translators without Borders.

Val Swisher, founder and CEO of Content Rules, a professional services company that provides content strategy, development and global readiness services. Content Rules provides English source content for Translators without Borders prior to translation.

The re-elected board members are Simon Andriesen of MediLingua, Renato Beninatto of Moravia, Andrew Bredenkamp of Acrolinx, and Daniel Goldschmidt of Microsoft. All four have provided financial, management and volunteer support in helping Translators without Borders meet its goal of increasing access to knowledge through humanitarian translations.

Translators without Borders also thanked its outgoing board members: Henry Dotterer of ProZ.com, Ghassan Haddad of Facebook, and Sergio Pelino of Google, for their service and commitment to increased access to knowledge.
