Governor to be presented a copy of Gitanjali’s Rajasthani translation

JAIPUR: Litterateur Ikraam Rajasthani’s translation of Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Gitanjali’ will be presented to governor Margaret Alva at a function on October 3.

The translation, ‘Anjali Gitan Ri’ is the first poetic translation of Gitanjali in Rajasthani language. This year marked the 150th birth anniversary of the Nobel laureate.

The book was released by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on May 16. More.
