The Speaker of Parliament, Z.Enkhbold, has initiated a campaign to include the Mongolian language in the online “Google Translate” service. This follows a survey recently conducted by Z.Enkhbold via his own Twitter page.
Google Translate provides instant and free online translation of text. There is much public support for including the Mongolian language in Google Translate as it would enable more citizens of this country to read news that is published in other languages, including in English, Russian and Japanese.Z.Enkhbold met with delegates of the information technology sector on January 16 to discuss how to ensure the Mongolian language can be included in the Google Translate service as quickly as possible. The meeting began with Z.Enkhbold reading an e-mail from Battulga, a Mongolian who works in Google’s Search Engine sector. The email expressed Battulga’s support for the Speaker of Parliament’s initiative and introduced possibilities and conditions relating to the initiative. More.
