Chinese Vice President against political jargon in speeches and documents

Vice President Xi Jinping is urging Communist Party officials to rid their speeches and documents of “empty words” and political jargon.

Mr. Xi told more than 900 officials and students at the Central Committee’s Party School on Wednesday that they should study party theory and learn from ancient Chinese literature to simplify their writings.  The content should have “substance,” he said, and any “unhealthy” writing could undermine efficiency.
