Following a sudden-onset crisis, one of the most immediate priorities for both relief workers and victims is disseminating and receiving information. Yet language barriers frequently complicate this effort.

Dedicated to the mission of “translating for humanity”, Translators without Borders (TWB) provides pro-bono translationservices to humanitarian organisations worldwide, helping facilitate multilingual communication, reduce barriers to knowledge, and disseminate critical information that can improve the health and welfare of entire communities. TWB focuses its translation efforts in three areas of humanitarian endeavour—crisis/disaster response, support for NGO operations, and health and educational information for people in need. More.
