Charity event to raise funds for Concern Worldwide education programs
Thank you so much for attending the ProZ.com charity event to raise funds for Concern Worldwide education programs on June 12, 2015. We hope you had a great day.
ProZ.com matched each donation, and together we reached the donation drive goal. Your donation will go towards helping to provide basic education to those who need it most. For over 30 years, Concern Worldwide has been working to improve access to basic education among the poorest people in the world. Concern Worldwide education programmes currently span 12 countries, benefiting 215,888 people last year alone. Access to education is not only a basic human right, but also a key factor in reducing poverty and child labour.
By attending the event and donating you have helped to ensure that children learn basic literacy, numeracy and life skills in school. Concern Worldwide is doing this by training teachers, providing school materials and strengthening school systems.
During the month of June, ProZ.com hosted four free translator training webinars to help raise funds for the charity event. ProZ.com trainers Anneta Vysotskaya, Irene Koukia, Gwenydd Jones, Suzanne Deliscar have generously offered their time and experience to offer these sessions for free to support this cause.
Thanks to trainers and attendees for their fantastic fundraising efforts which made a big difference to the lives of children.
We look forward to seeing you at the next event!
