Beginners Course – An introduction to Trados

One day presentation of the Trados Suite and its basic functions. Practical tips on how to start using Trados in both an effective and enjoyable way.

This format is best suited for translators who do not have Trados but are considering buying it, and for translators who have bought the product but not used it yet. No computers are supplied, although there is an opportunity to try Trados during the course. If you have your own copy of Trados, you are welcome to bring your own laptop along (please let us know so that we can ensure a power socket is available for you).

• Place: Central London – full address, directions and map etc provided when you confirm your place.

• Date: Saturday 5 January 2008, (10:00 am – 5:00 pm)

• Number of participants: maximum of 20. A minimum number of 12 students is required for the course to go ahead.

• Required experience: working knowledge of MS Word

• Price: £120 + VAT (£141) until 26 December, then £150 + VAT (£176.25)

Other notes: We aim to cover all topics above; but every course is different and depends on the feedback and requests from our students on the day. We provide hot drinks, bottled water and biscuits during morning and afternoon breaks. We provide a cold buffet lunch, as we have a short lunch break. Please advise if you have any special dietary requirements we should be aware of.
