Description Topics to be covered in this presentation
• TOC: how to create a table of contents; how to repair a TOC for correct translation; how to turn it into the target language correctly.
• Hyperlinks: how to make them work after translating; how to check if they have already been translated and enter the new target link without corrupting the file or the fields.
• Columns: how to work with non translatable columns and turn in matching tables in two or more languages.
• Spell checker: how to hide bilingual text and set up spell checker correctly in different languages.

Recommendations

Trainers  Susana Vivas | Bio: Lorena Baudo and Susana Vivas are English-Spanish Public Translators graduated from Facultad de Lenguas, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. They have upgraded their studies by participating in many post-graduate courses and seminars related not only to the translation arena, but also to Human Resources, Management and Leadership. They have more than 8 years of experience providing translation and revision services both as freelance and in-house translators. For the last two years, they have been working as Translation Team Leaders and are in charge of coaching, supervising the linguistic quality and upskilling 5 team members’ competences and potential. They have also developed and implemented a pyramidal and cyclical initiative to train in-house translators. This proposal is based on the training method and approach developed, enhanced and systemized by both professionals in the two translation teams.
