"Teacher was articulate, professional and knowledgeable. More than half of the workshop was, however, in my opinion, too theoretical and offered little in terms of practical advice. The second half was much more helpful, and just this was probably worth the investment in time and money. I think that a kind of "round table" discussion format would probably be more constructive, with attendees posing more questions, and a more "let's get right to the point" approach: what you need to sell yourself better as a freelancer. Given the almost total lack of marketing notions amongst many attendees, I think it would have been more fruitful to just jump right to the basics, with more specific information: how to build a webpage, how to get business cards and design a logo (well covered), how to apply for government loans, (with specific contact info) etc., etc. Personally, I don´t think attendees care about the field of marketing in the abstract, or need an introduction to it. Still, just for the practical information that was provided, I think it was worthwhile overall. The teacher was very professional and articulate. I would just structure the session to be totally practical and packed with more specific information."
