I have to feel satisfied with my translation before I hand it over to the customer. At the same time, I have organized my workspace and acquired the best of tools so that I can work efficiently and keep deadlines. It is a balance between working efficiently each day and still have some distance to the finished text and be able to look at it with the end-user's eyes. Culture, communication, languages, and translation are my main interests in life and my devotion to these related subjects, in my opinion, is a catalyst and inexhaustible source of motivation for improving and developing my use and understanding of language. I have lived in mainland China for more than two years and adapted to the culture here. I feel very comfortable with my profession as a translator as it helps me to stay connected to my roots and the Swedish culture at the same time as I can experience the different cultures that exist in China. My interest in IT and computing also enables me to work efficiently using information retrieving from a wide selection of sources and I am constantly adding to these resources.
