About me
I've been continuously working as a freelance translator since 2002.
At the very beginning of my translator’s career, I made translations for different smaller translating agencies and publishing houses. So, during 2002-2005, I translated 2 books from English ("What our children teach us" and "Create YOUrself") for VES publishing house, and participated in co-translating several books from German.
Since July 2005 till 2008, I worked mostly for SDL Russia Company, performing lots of different tasks (translating, reviewing/editing, proofreading and managing projects). There, I focused mostly on consumer electronics & photography, marketing and SW localization. Other jobs included general medical, legal, IT (SW and HW) and telecom translations.
MBA degree from the Moscow Business School (based at the World Technological University) allowed me to start specializing in new areas like business, management psychology and practice, economics, finance, accounting, etc.
Currently, I collaborate, as a translator and proofreader, with many translation agencies and work in various specialization areas, for example:
• marketing – on nearly any subject; including web-sites, press-releases, product descriptions and promotional materials,
• business, government, HR – including HR training materials, government publications (e.g. booklets from the US State Department), business presentations, etc.,
• IT – networks, SW and hardware, datacenters, reservation and server systems,
• medicine (general) & health care – including patient booklets, instructions, etc.,
• legal (general) – including EULAs, policies, warranties, terms & conditions, etc.
• tourism – including luxury hotels, attractions and booking systems descriptions.
My professional background includes dozens of different projects, large and small, short-time and on-going. I provide high quality, accurate translations, professional in terms of style and literacy. Often, where the case is about topics I’m comfortable with, I deliver proofread and ready-to-publish texts, that “feel like Russian”.

I’m looking forward to learning new things, meeting new clients and performing new projects. I can take on quite urgent jobs, and work beyond normal working hours. In my work, I always try to complete a thorough search and, when needed, submit queries to the customer (when deadlines allow).
